American Heart Association
As a locally owned and operated financial institution, an important part of our Mission is to give back to the communities and overall well-being of those we serve. Last year we gave back nearly $20,000 to our local American Heart Association!
This will be our third year as the Presenting sponsor of Go Red for Women Luncheon; we're proud of that sponsorship because we believe that working together, we can make a difference.
Prevention is about choices. At First Source we choose to make a difference; and we look forward to working with the American Heart Association in the fight against heart disease for many years to come. Look for yourself at the many ways we get involved:
Health & Fitness Expo
Look for First Source's booth at this year's Health & Fitness Expo on March 2nd at Utica College, in the Clark Athletic Center where we will be handing out heart healthy recipes. There will be more than 90 booths this year, all promoting a heart-healthy lifestyle. Booths will be varied and will include food preparation displays, fitness centers, health evaluations and many other health-related displays. Don't miss this event!
Heart Run & Walk
Team First Source, which will consist of 60 plus walkers, will show their support by running or walking as a part of America's Greatest Heart Run & Walk on March 3rd. We will also have a tent located at the bottom of Heart Break Hill where we will be handing out HUG Your Heart bracelets. The HUG will be there too so don't walk by without a HUG!
Corporate Challenge
For the second year in a row, First Source will be participating in the Go Red Challenge. 4 local companies will take part in this wellness program that will focus on educating and motivating employees to lead a healthier life. These companies will then be recognized at the Go Red Luncheon in May for their achievements. Last year First Source won "Company of the Year" award!
Employee fundraising will be going on in the month of February and will include: Hang-A-Heart sales, a 50/50 raffle, Bake Sale & an employee Jeans Day. With all proceeds going to our local American Heart Association.
