Answer all of your car buying questions

Option 2: Negotiation and Purchase ($115)

Save you money by negotiating the actual purchase with the dealer
Save you headaches by handling all the bargaining with the dealer

Things to consider when shopping for an automobile:
Establish your needs:
How much can I afford?
What size vehicle do I need?
What are the road conditions I will be traveling in?

Consider your options:
Should I purchase new or used?
Will I place a down payment?
Should I trade-in my current vehicle or attempt to sell it outright?
Am I concerned with fuel efficiency?
What are the maintenance costs?
Should I purchase an extended warranty?
What will my insurance costs be?
Do I want certain luxury options on the vehicle?

When negotiating a deal:
Never tell the dealer how much you are willing to spend up front.
Always test drive the vehicle prior to purchasing.
If purchasing a used vehicle, question whether or not the vehicle has ever been involved in a collision or has had any major repairs.
