If you'd
like the convenience of shopping for a new car from your home, or
need information to help ensure you're getting a good deal, Car Buyer's
Helpline is for you. A unique and easy-to-use service, Car Buyer's
Helpline offers two levels of assistance to First Source FCU members
in the new car buying process.
Here's what to do:
First,
apply to be pre-approved for your new auto loan by phoning 315-735-8571,
faxing, e-mailing, orjdropping off
your application at the Credit Union.
Once
you've been approved, decide how much assistance you'd like from
the Helpline.
There
are two steps to the service:
Basic
Consultation ($75)
The Car Buyer's Helpline will:
- Suggest cars that fit your budget
- Give you the dealer invoice and tell you how to use it
- Inform you of rebates and dealer incentives
- Tell you if you've worked out a good price on your own
- Answer all of your car buying questions
Negotiation & Purchase ($125)
The Car Buyer's Helpline will:
- Locate the vehicle of your choice
- Negotiate the actual purchase with the dealer at a savings of much
more than the cost of the service
- Handle all of the bargaining with the dealer
- Get you the most for your trade-in
Here's the best part!
If you finance your new vehicle at First Source FCU within 60 days
after calling Car Buyer's Helpline, the Credit Union will reimburse
your savings account for the Car Buyer's Helpline fees! (Reimbursement
will occur 30-60 days after the loan is disbursed. Minimum loan
amount
and term necessary for reimbursement is $10,000 for 12 months.)
