First Source Federal Credit Union Goes Red for Heart Health

First Source Employees Support ®National Wear Red Day® & the Fight Against Heart Disease

New Hartford, NY ®First Source Federal Credit Union employees showed their commitment to heart health awareness by wearing red on the American Heart Association®s (AHA®s) National Wear Red Day, February 5, 2010, to increase awareness of heart disease as the number 1 killer of American women. First Source is a long-time supporter of the American Heart Association and was the 2010 Presenting Sponsor of Go Red for Women.

Red Day is a national awareness campaign for women about heart disease sponsored by the American Heart Association. The organization created and introduced the Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 to deliver an urgent wakeup call to American women. This observance promotes the Red Dress symbol and provides an opportunity for everyone to unite in this life-saving awareness movement by showing off a favorite red dress, shirt, or tie, or Red Dress Pin.

We understand the impact Heart Disease plays on many  to include our First Source Family. We support initiatives that touch the ®hearts® of those we love.
