Financial Service Representative

Full-time: 40 hours per week, including some Saturdays

Qualified candidate will serve our Members by helping them with their credit, lending, and deposit needs. Responsible for building long-term relationships with Members, meeting all individually-assigned goals, and assisting in meeting the goals of the branch, in turn helping the credit union as a whole. Partner with the Member Service team by assisting in educating our Members on our products and services, to meet and exceed our Service Objective, “Putting you first by providing solutions to improve your financial life.”


Essential Job Functions

  • Build long-term relationships with Members utilizing Member Value culture, and adhere to the credit union’s Universal Behaviors Policy.

  • Responsible for sales of all credit union products and services by determining Member needs and cross-selling appropriate services.

  • Provide Members with superior service and information in regard to products offered by the credit union; research and solve Member questions, service issues, problems, and complaints. Handle problematic situations that may arise with Member accounts.

  • Receive and verify information on all types of loans. Make underwriting recommendations on all loans, approve loans within established lending authority, and disburse loans to Members.

  • Provide financial counseling to Members when necessary.

  • Achieve assigned individual and team sales goals.

  • Participate in First Source Federal Credit Union events, as well as designated community events.

  • Attain Notary within 6 months of assignment of position.

  • Attend or participate in necessary compliance training, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy, OFAC, and Privacy.

  • Must be registered under the SAFE Act Guidelines as established in 2011.

  • Attend training sessions as appropriate.

  • Travel as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • High School or equivalent, plus 1-3 years work with lending experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong computer aptitude

  • Professional appearance

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays as needed
