Full-time Member Care Center Lender


Provide quality Member service by educating all Members on credit union products and services. To service all needs of Members on the products and services they currently have with us. To build long-term relationships with Members, meet all individual assigned goals and assist in meeting the goals of the Member Care Call Center, and in turn, the credit union. To partner with our Member service team as they assist in educating our Members on our products and services and to meet our Service Objective, “Putting you first by providing solutions to improve your financial life!”

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build long-term relationships with Members utilizing First Source Member Value culture, and adhere to the credit union’s Universal Behaviors Policy

  • Sell all credit union products and services by uncovering Member needs and cross-selling appropriately

  • Receive and verify information on all loan types, make underwriting recommendations on all loans, approve loans within established lending authority and disburse loans to Members

  • Provide Members with superior service and information on products offered by the credit union; research and solve Member questions, service issues, problems, and complaints. Handle all problematic situations that may arise with Member accounts

  • Research and provide solutions to a need uncovered with a referral to a branch representative for new deposit shares, and/or to our business partners

  • Provide regular feedback to the Member Care Manager for patterns and/or consistent issues or requests

  • Provide financial counseling to Members when necessary

  • Achieve assigned individual and team sales goals

  • Participate in First Source Federal Credit Union events as well as designated community events

  • Attend or participate in necessary compliance training, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy, OFAC, and Privacy

  • Register under the SAFE Act Guidelines as established in 2011

  • Attend training sessions as appropriate

  • Travel as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • High school or equivalent plus 1-3 years’ work experience OR related business degree 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong computer aptitude

  • Professional appearance 

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays as needed
