What A Ride

March 29, 2010

7 First Source employees are getting serious about their commitment to ride over 90 miles on May 21st as a part of The Ride For Missing Children. This is what First Source employee Karen Grygiel had to say about her commitment:

What does this 100 mile Ride mean to you?
I have to say it started out as a 100 mile bike ride challenge for me. It now means so much more after going to the ride meetings and hearing the stories of the families that have lost and found loved ones. It is such an emotional experience. I wish everyone could be a part of it and hear the stories so we could help find so many more missing children. I have met so many great people that take part in this event and want so badly to help bring awareness to everyone. I am so proud to be a part of the First Source Team and being part of such a great event!

As a first time rider, what words describe how you are feeling about the
big day?

Excited, Nervous and Hopeful!

Training starts this weekend, are you ready???
Yes, I started cycling last Spring. We ended riding in November of 2009 and were riding 100 miles per week. I have been doing spin classes 3 times a week for the last 3 months and I just went out for a ride (on the road) Tuesday and did 25 miles (with new clips…ugh) and felt great. I am ready to go!
First Source is the luminary sponsor this year!
