We're Here to Help (315) 735-8571

To our Members and friends:

April 18, 2012

We are pleased to report that the two perpetrators of the attempted robbery at our Herkimer Branch last Monday have been apprehended and arrested. A special thanks goes out to our Members and staff at the Herkimer Branch, along with our local and outside law enforcement personnel. The suspects will be arraigned in Herkimer this week.

The successful resolution of this unfortunate event was in large part due to the proper planning, training and diligence of our staff, and the tremendous understanding and cooperation of our Members. You handled a very difficult situation well, and helped ensure the safety of everyone involved. Thanks again for your patience and support!

A whole new relationship in South Utica

August 30, 2010

Amy White, South Utica Branch Manager

Changes are coming to the South Utica branch, and I’m excited to share them with you!

We’re always working to create a better experience for you at First Source, and our newest change will make your branch experience more efficient, faster and safer: Remote Teller Stations (RTS).

You may have read about them in the news, but what exactly are they? Starting in a few weeks, as you enter the branch, you’ll see the usual Teller Stations, only there will now be a screen at each one, a lot like the screens you see in our drive-thrus. As you approach any open Teller Station, a First Source teller will appear on-screen (you may already know them!) You video chat live with the teller, and complete your transaction as usual, using a pneumatic tube system (again, just like at our drive-thrus).

We work to give our Members better service every day, so you’ll enjoy the differences. Since all the stations will always be open, you’ll have less wait time, while our tellers provide the same personal First Source experience you’ve come to appreciate. RTS systems have also been proven to be much safer. Since there is no currency out in the open, you can feel even more secure on your branch visits.

If you’re hesitant around new technology, don’t worry: we’ll still have a Greeter and Member Service Representatives on hand to help walk you through the process and answer any questions. As usual, you’ll also be able to sit down with our branch staff to open an account, apply for or manage loans, or conduct any other business requiring a specialist. The RTS system will only be used for Teller visits.

Our South Utica branch will be closed September 4-11 for the upgrade. The full-service ATM will still be open during that period, so you’ll be able to conduct normal business on your existing accounts.

Please stop by and try the new system, and together we’ll put a little more time back in your day. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask in the branch. See you there!
