Celebrating The Educators Who Go Above and Beyond

It is a crazy time for us all. Everyone is stepping up to the plate, rearranging their lives in some way and our teachers have been fantastic. Without much notice, they gathered materials to send home with their students and learned to teach remotely. With each new change in mandate and each prolonged school closure, they’ve managed to keep their students engaged and help parents learn to help their kids study at home.

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and we’re supporting the Genesis Group as they recognize our outstanding educators. Join us in applauding teachers in our community who are going above and beyond their duties to make a positive impact in the lives of their students.

Nominate  A Teacher

If you know a local teacher who is making a difference in our commnity, submit a photo (a color head shot is preferred) and a brief, 1 paragraph write-up describing their exemplary efforts. Submissions can be emailed to Genesis Group Executive Director, Ray Durso, Jr. at rdurso@TheGenesisGroup.org.

The Genesis Group will recognize these teachers in their weekly emails, on Facebook and in the local media. We encourage you to nominate a deserving teacher and congratulate those that have already been recognized.
