We are proud to announce that we have two employees who are graduating from Leadership Mohawk Valley this June: Stacey Vomer, Manager of Branch Services, and Amanda Abbe, Underwriting Manager. It was a busy and productive year as they engaged with our community through experiences, built many relationships along the way, and enhanced their leadership experience. As the 2024 program comes to an end, their community impact project will also be completed this month.  

The main objective of this project is to immerse CFLR with the revitalization of downtown Rome, NY, while maintaining the integrity of being a part of the “Arts District.” The Recovery Art Café will serve as a spot for budding artists in the Mohawk Valley to create and display their artwork. The café will also include coffee and tea for patrons to enjoy while viewing the art created by local individuals. The Youth Clubhouse will be designed to be a safe space for the youth in the area, where they can take part in arts and crafts and leisurely activities such as gaming, movies, and reading.
