How does First Source Federal Credit Union protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.
 

How does First Source Federal Credit Union collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • Open an account or apply for a loan.
  • Pay your bills or provide your employment information or employment history.
  • Provide your driver’s license.

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Mobile Application Information Regarding Zelle®

While using Zelle®, to use the QR Code feature, with your prior permission, First Source FCU may collect or access pictures and other information from your device's Contacts, Camera, and Photos. Any information collected is used to provide features of the Zelle® service and/or to improve and customize the user experience. The information may be uploaded to our servers or it may be simply stored on your device. You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through your device settings.


Why Can’t I Limit All Sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes-information about your creditworthiness.
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you.
  • Sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you.

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.


Definitions

Affiliates - Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • We do not share information with affiliated companies.

Nonaffiliates - Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • We do not share information with our nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

Joint marketing - A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Insurance companies.
  • Direct Marketing companies.
