See What Our Employees Are Saying
"I started working at First Source in 2013. For the first few years I worked as a seasonal Member Service Representative in the North Utica branch, becoming full-time in 2018, promoted to working the front desk in the South Utica branch. In 2019 I became a Financial Services Representative II and then progressed to Consumer Underwriting in 2021 working as a Lending Services Analyst. In 2023 when I transitioned into the Business Underwriting department, where I am currently working as a Business Underwriter I.
I enjoy working for First Source because it has given me numerous opportunities to grow within the company and to gain valuable knowledge, experience, and insights into both the organization as well as into the wider world of business and banking. Since first starting here, First Source has allowed me to improve myself and to have a more active role in representing the company as we continue to expand our outreach to our members in the surrounding communities.
I truly value the work environment here. I’ve always felt like I’m part of a family at First Source, where everyone looks out for each other, and hard work and dedication to the organization are consistently recognized and appreciated. I’m also grateful to be a part of a company where we do as much as we can to go the extra mile for our members and seek out solutions for them, even at times when a solution may seem unlikely.
I would encourage any prospective or new employees to think about what aspects of a job they most enjoy, and to find out what roles First Source offers that emphasize those characteristics and will allow them to thrive and succeed here. Whether it’s a member-facing position that regularly provides opportunities to interact with the community, or a more data-driven role that enables someone to lean into their analytical side, there is a wide range of opportunities at First Source for every personality type. All one has to do is find out what about First Source appeals to them the most, and to continually seek out advice from their co-workers, supervisors, and managers."
