Spotlight On "The Money Mule"
Unfortunately, fraud is a never-ending threat. The protection of our Members’ accounts and personal information is and always will be a top priority. Scammers, hackers, fraudsters, and thieves are conniving and smart and schemes are always evolving. It’s how they make a living.
It is up to us, as individuals, to be vigilant in recognizing when a scam may be occurring. The most important step is to stop and think. What are they asking of me? Does this make sense? Are they calling me and requesting information that they should already have? Is this too good to be true? Don’t react immediately without a moment to pause and reflect.
We encourage you to check out this information regarding one of the most current circulating scams, “The Money Mule.”
